Hanging hoop Art

Here is a new little project I have been working on.

This is just for fun to bulk up some items for up and coming craft shows this summer! I absolutely love the look of vintage textbook style illustrations and wanted to go further then just a framed picture.

I wanted to create something that would look great collage style. It is one of my favorite looks! Like this!

This look is especially great if you are unable to paint your apartment walls. And is fantastic for keeping you inspired.

Each image is printed high quality on thick textured re purposed duck canvas and stretched in various sized  wood embroidery hoops.  Some I have incorporated some fabric also to make them a little different!

I am in debate on making these available in my etsy.  What are your thoughts?

I will see how they do at my 1st Craft show in VA on April 15th  Please come by!

I love making these little guys! And I can create custom ones if interested. They could be sweet for wedding decor I feel in addition to home decor!

But all the same this is what I have been up to! I hope everyone is enjoying April so far. It is a pretty swell month I must say.

Happy Birthday Edgar Allen Poe

Ode to Edgar

Here is my spin on his child wife.

 Virginia Eliza Clemm.

She is just a quick’ish drawing I did to switch things up. I played off the death bed portrait of Virginia  and then let my mind go wild.

Enjoy your night folks.

Hoops & Prints- a new kind of picture frame

So as you all know I have been drawing my fingers off this past month.

I am in the process of making my very 1st collection that I am proud of and I well on my way.

Who needs art school? I have books, the internet and determination!

My goal in 2012? Get better.

I will have prints available  hopefully by next week if not sooner!

In the mean time I have created a new type of a print.

I have taken my illustrations and printed them on a fine piece of cream canvas and fastened them in an embroidery hoop. A little different for your wall decor.

These will be handmade by order.  They can be customized to your liking. So if you would like a different image in your hoop I am more then happy to create something personal for you!

For sale now is “Coriander” Prints and Hoop Prints

I hope you enjoy!

Have a great night everyone.
